FE3O4 ACTIVITIES IN FE-TI SPINEL SOLID-SOLUTIONS
The activity of Fe3O4 in Fe3O4-Fe2TiO4 solid solutions has been experimentally determined at 800°C and 900°C at 1 atm pressure. The activity-composition relations deviate markedly from "ideal' (a = X2) behavior, requiring consideration of Fe 2+-Fe3+ order on the ulvospinel-magnetite join....
