Shrnutí:The electron spin relaxation times T 1 and T 2 of lithium-6- and lithium-7-methylamine solutions have been measured by electron spin-echo techniques over the temperature range 200-260 K. T 1 and T 2 are not equal in the concentration range studied (0.1-5.0 MPM); their values differ most at low concentrations and low temperatures. No significant lithium isotope effect is observed. The accepted relaxation mechanism for dilute metal-ammonia solutions (motional modulation of the electron- 14N hyperfine interaction) cannot alone account for the observed relaxation times in lithium-methylamine solutions. © 1984 American Chemical Society.
