A NEW TYPE OF CATENAND - INTERLOCKED MACROCYCLES HELD TOGETHER BY INTRAMOLECULAR SANDWICH BENZO-15-CROWN-5 POTASSIUM COMPLEXES
The synthesis of a new type of catenand ligand (6) containing two interlocked 6,6′-bis(benzo-15-crown-5)-2,2′-bipyridine moieties held together via intramolecular sandwich benzo-15-crown-5 potassium complexes is reported. © 1989.
