| Summary: | <p>A review of what environmental issues most concern residents in regeneration areas.</p> <p>There is considerable government concern about ‘environmental justice’. Neighbourhood renewal policies in England are not addressing residents’ concerns relating to issues such as anti-social behaviour, vandalism, dog fouling, litter and graffiti.</p> <p>This not only contributes to the stigmatisation of these neighbourhoods, but can also undermine local people’s willingness to engage with the renewal process. Looking at six case-study areas, this report reviews those issues which most concern local residents and their impact on people’s everyday lives. It assesses how Local Strategic Partnerships in these areas addressed these concerns, offering practical guidance on how other LSPs might tackle similar issues.</p>
