Description
Summary:The characterization of an RNA binding multi-subunit protein was presented. It was shown that in the absence of tryptophan (trp) RNA binding attenuation protein (TRAP) formed a highly stable ondecamer in equilibrium with a small proportion of dodecamer. It was also shown that the TRAP11:L-trp 11 complex was highly unstable. The study demonstrated that 6F-L-trp maintained the cooperativity observed for L-trp, while d-trp did not bind to TRAP.
