SEARCH FOR CHARGED BOSONS HEAVIER THAN THE W-BOSON IN P(P)OVER-BAR COLLISIONS AT ROOT-S=1800 GEV

We have searched for new, heavy, charged bosons W′ through the decay W′→eν in pp̄ collisions at s=1.8 TeV. The data used in the search represent 19.7 pb-1 collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. Limits are placed on σB(pp̄→W′→eν) as a function of MW′. Assuming standard couplings of the W′ to...

Description
Summary:We have searched for new, heavy, charged bosons W′ through the decay W′→eν in pp̄ collisions at s=1.8 TeV. The data used in the search represent 19.7 pb-1 collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. Limits are placed on σB(pp̄→W′→eν) as a function of MW′. Assuming standard couplings of the W′ to fermions, we establish the limit MW′>652 GeV /c2 (95% C.L.). © 1995 The American Physical Society.
