These findings suggest that despite their general weakness, Russian political parties have played a key role in shaping the dynamics of legislative-executive relations. The results of this analysis also add to recent scholarship on presidentialism in Latin America, which has challenged conventional notions about the nature of legislative politics in presidential regimes. |
