Purification and initial characterization of an enzyme with deacetoxycephalosporin C synthetase and hydroxylase activities.

Deacetoxycephalosporin C synthetase (expandase) from Cephalosporium acremonium (Acremonium chrysogenum) was purified to near homogeneity as judged by SDS/polyacrylamide-gel electrophoresis.
