Περίληψη:<p>This thesis is concerned with furthering our understanding of the basis of visible region photocatalytic activity exhibited by doped TiO2-based materials. A range of experimental techniques including high resolution X-ray photoemission spectroscopy and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy are used to investigate electronic structure and an attempt is made to link these results to the observed photocatalytic activity.
