A range of cationic cyclopentadienyl biphosphine ruthenium nitrile complexes [(η5-C5h5)L2RuNC-Aryl]+ (L = phosphine or phosphite) have been prepared and characterised for use with the Langmuir-Blodgett deposition technique. © 1991.
