Yhteenveto:The efficiency of the new next linear collider (NLC) final focus (FF) system was investigated as a function of the incoming beam characteristics such as energy speed, emittances and energy spread. Simulations indicate that the system had the necessary correction elements to be tuned to maximize luminosity even in the presence of errors. The system was found to be relatively insensitive to magnet motion, which helped the system to maintain luminosity for extended periods. Results showed that these properties allowed the luminosity delivered by a real system to be very close to the theoretical optimum.
