Description
Summary:This dataset has resulted from the following study: Jonathan Lim, James Clark, Gonzalo Linares-Matás, Subsurface delineation of doline features associated with Pleistocene clay-with-flints deposits in the Chilterns: Implications for British Palaeolithic archaeology, Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports, Volume 34, Part B, 2020, 102665, ISSN 2352-409X, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jasrep.2020.102665. Requires a GIS software package to view. Two vector datasets are uploaded as shapefiles and Both are derived from the British Geological Services' Advanced Superficial Deposit Thickness Model— Polylines showing subsurface geological contours in the study area at 2m intervals, and polygons showing possible subsurface karstic depressions (ie. dolines).
