He had splenomegaly, a raised vitamin B12 level, serum uric acid and neutrophil alkaline phosphatase score. Cytogenetic study of the marrow was normal and peripheral blood for BCR-ABL gene transcript was not detectable. He subsequently passed away with bronchopneumonia. |
