A similar increase in cases can be seen in Malaysia where the latest cases recorded were 379,473 cases with an increase of 2,341 new cases today. Concerns over the spread of COVID-19 infection require drastic action from the government by implementing a Movement Control Order (MCO). The inevitable phenomenon of the development of a country is migration. This will lead to a change in the demographic pattern of the population which will eventually lead to economic change in the areas that send and receive migrants. However, the COVID-19 outbreak has made migration difficult. Some migrants are forced to return to their own country to maintain the country's well-being. This paper will address the impact of COVID-19 on migration in Malaysia and suggest ways how Malaysia response to this situation.
