Staphylococcus aureus is the most common and important cause of life threatening
bacterial infection with a high mortality rate. The absence of a positive culture represents
a dilemma in diagnosis and treatment, therefore an alternative method that is cheap, user
friendly and rapid with high sensitivity and specificity is needed to help in the diagnosis. |
