Diversity is an influential communication technique that combats fading by exploiting the random nature of the wireless channel and finding independent signal paths between the transmitter and the receiver. In WiMAX PHY, diversity techniques such as time diversity, frequency diversity and antenna diversity are used to improve performance. The main objectives of this thesis are to improve diversity performance in WiMAX PHY.
