description The urban area is rapidly expanding, with the population expected to triple in the next eight years. This situation might harm the urban biodiversity population in the city. When the areas in the town become limited, the places for urban biodiversity living might be narrowed and replaced to fulfill urban dwellers’ needs. In addition, the population of fauna species is declining, whereas flora species are gaining popularity among city dwellers. This study highlights the role of the Local Authority in managing the fauna species in terms of conservation in urban areas.
