description | As one of the most widespread and dangerous natural disasters in the world today, floods can have adverse consequences for societies, infrastructure, the environment, and personals, depending on their severity. Integrated Flood Management (IFM) has been implemented to reduce worldwide flood likelihood by assuming compelling management and evaluation of flood hazards, sustainable adaptation, and mitigation policies. As a computational modelling method, the Agent-Based Modelling (ABM) approach has advantages in simulating human decision-making procedures and behaviour with the context of the social environment, especially in understanding the complexity of flood systems. Numerous executions of ABM in IFM have been explored and reviewed due to its ability and adaptability in emulating the dynamics of human-environmental occurrence in a spatial environment. |
