Description
Summary:This study investigated the synthesis of graphene through the cost-efficient method of liquid phase exfoliation with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as a host polymer. The synthesised graphene embedded with PDMS was employed in a pulsed laser cavity with wavelength region of 1.5 μm to enable q-switching pulse laser operations. The proposed experimental work generated a pulse energy and peak power of about 127.88 nJ and 49.27 mW. When increased from 18.31 mW to 157.02 mW, the pump power generated a maximum of 69.83 kHz of repetition rate with the shortest pulse width of 2.44 μs.
