Summary:This research was conducted to study the level, workload of headmaster and practice of effective supervision in grade A Primary Schools, Bandar Zone in Pontian District. The methodology used in this research was quantitative methodology which is descriptive assessment using data collected from forms given in the form of questionnaires that were given to 175 respondents. This research used wokload of headmater questionnaire format from Azlin (2004) developed by Juhana (2007) and paractice of effective supervision questionnaire format from Glikman (2004) developed by Rafisah (2009) as research tools. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS Version (18.0 Version). The hypothesis, that was created was measured using T-Test and also Pearson Correlations Coefficients. T-Test was used to observe whether there were differences between headmaster workload and effective supervision practice based on the gender of the respondents The Pearson Correlations Coefficientswas used to determine the relationship between headmaster workload and effective supervision practice From the test conducted, the overall mean level of headmaster workload was 3.755 and it was on the high scale. The same thing was discovered for the overall effective supervision paracticemean level which was 4.039 and it was on the high scale too. T-Test results showed that there was no significant relationship on headmaster workload between the different gender but there was a significant relationship on effective supervision practice between the different gender. This research showed that there was a significant relationship between headmaster workload and effective supervision practicenationalprimary schools, grade A bandar zone in Pontian district
