description | Lots of studies have been conducted on organizational politics but how employee’s perceptions of politics impact between the relationship of leadership styles and their behavioral outcomes is still a point to discuss. This study is an attempt to explore the mediating role of organizational politics between leadership and employees behavioral outcomes. The multifactor questionnaire was distributed among the public employees of Pakistan. They were asked about perceptions of politics, leadership style, commitment, performance and citizenship behaviors. The confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was conducted with structure equation modeling and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted for intra structure of the leadership variables. Two models were examined first with the mediation role and second without the mediation role. A partial mediation of leadership style was found with commitment and OCB. Organizational politics was found to be negatively related with the behavioral outcomes (i.e. commitment, in-role performance and OCB) |
