| description | This study is a survey study of the adolescents pregnant out of wedlock chronology in rural area of Johor Bahru . This study aims to get teens view regarding on sex practices and the factors that influence the practice until they become pregnant. This qualitative study conducted for unwed pregnant teenager in a rural area in Johor Bahru via the full interview with the producing major themes and sub- themes to support the findings. The findings were analyzed using NVivo software to structure the themes consistent with the text of the interview obtained from respondents . The results showed that the theme of the mass media play an important role on youth and contributed to the practice of free sex among respondents . Themes pattern and frequency of sexual activity was recorded the highest frequency of twice a week with twice repetition. Pregnancy preparations theme recorded all respondents reacted shocked and traumatized by the situation and expressed their unwillingness to pregnancy . While the theme of direction, 60 percent of respondents agreed to surrender their babies to adoptive families , but 40 percent of the respondents decided to raise their own babies . This theme also explains that all of respondents feel regret in what actually happened in their life and want to start a new good life in the future. |
