Description
Summary:This paper presents the development of a space utilization model to accommodate the increasing demand of academic spaces in higher education institutions (HEIs) as well as to overcome the lack of awareness, knowledge and skills towards space utilization. The model developed using interviews and focus group discussions. The system development life cycle (SDLC) model is adapted by applying data flow diagram (DFD) to establish the prototype of space utilization model. The model helps in providing better understanding and promoting space utilization in HEIs as well as further research for implementation purpose.
