The solubilities of CO2 in the two solutions containing GalH or GalNa were similar to those in pure water. The experimental data were correlated with the Peng-Robinson-Stryjek-Vera (PRSV) equation of state. A new method was developed to estimate pH by use of the molar volume from the PRSV equation and compared with measured pH values. It gives some idea of the quantitative agreement between the equation of states and the measured pH values over the same range of conditions.
