description The term 'airport operations' refer to a vast variety of activities and processes that take place in every aspect of the operating environment. With so many layers of airport operations, each with its own set of challenges and compliance requirements, management teams require a more comprehensive view of the entire operational environment to improve efficiency, resource management, visibility, and productivity while maintaining security and compliance. Innovation is one of the focus areas where airports has continuously practiced in making sure improvements in efficiency, optimization of resources and increase productivity are in place. The airport industry has seen a lot of innovation in past years. As airports seek to increase safety and security, the focus on digital transformation, automation, and efficiency has intensified. It is no exception for Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB). MAHB's plans on digital transformation is executed by embarking on the Airports 4.0 initiative. This paper will present the results of the design and impact of DIASS (Digital Integrated Airside Services System), Airside Closure Coordination Platform and FODDS (Foreign Object Debris Detection System) to the operations of KL International Airport.
