The proposed study represents a contribution to a gap in the existing body of strategic management of R&D organisations. Basing on the contingency view, this study attempts to improve performance by addressing the problem of strategy misalignment.A Human Capital Management Strategy Choice is proposed as a basis to manage different human capitals in R&D organizations.
