description Thinking styles refer to the way in which an individual processes information and are an important aspect of knowledge work which requires the efficient management of information.This paper presents the results of a study examining the thinking styles of 77 university students about to enter the workforce.They have shown greater preference for the executive,hierarchic, local, external and conservative thinking styles.Factor analysis demonstrated preferences for both complex and more simplistic thinking styles.The results of this study have implications for the training of students and employees as knowledge workers.
