Samui Island (Koh Samui) in the southern region of Thailand, is a popular tourist destination that is being promoted as a green destination by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).However, the image of Koh Samui that has been promoted may not necessarily be as it is.This study is a review of previous research that focused on aspects that portray Koh Samui as a green destination.The results indicate that Koh Samui is promoted as a green destination due to its natural scenic beauty, its clean environment, its pleasant weather, and its promise of relaxation and safety.The implications of this study are both practical and theoretical. |
