Summary:The objective of this study is to explore the PPG Teachers' perceptions toward action research projects undertaken by researchers in order to improve teaching and learning.The participants in this study are teachers who are pursuing their undergraduate study in Universiti Utara Malaysia. The participants in this study reviewed and critics the action research before conducting their own research project as part of the requirement for the program.The study employed document analysis method of 10 action research that conducted by the PPG teachers.The findings revealed that most of the critics were not critical and at a moderate level.The findings indicated the necessity of knowledge and skills related to an action research needed to be given to PPG teachers for broader and deeper understanding of research.This disclosure is to prepare them to undertake action research in schools as well as to inculcate a research culture among them.
