Summary:Managing the layout like improper product flow and poor departments’ arrangement,receiving the wrong materials, warehouse size and construction costs has become critical issues for the manager.Getting into greater understanding of layout management such as maximize the operational efficiency of layout, Total Quality Management (TQM) and the application of an externally-oriented approach to scheduling has already become important prerequisites for contemporary operations management.Acknowledging that, this study is designed to adopt Tobiar Gold Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. as the principal with the intention of understanding the effectiveness and efficiency of layout management.Besides desktop review, this study also employ key personnel perspectives into the analysis.It is expected that the findings could contribute towards greater understanding in view of layout management in practice.This study is also expected to identify some innovative solutions in managerial applications in Tobiar Gold Manufacturing.
