Summary: | Recycling activities is popular as it is crucial to the sustainability of our environment.Recycling awareness among young educated generation especially university students is critical as the flag-bearer of the world in the future.Adequately equipped with knowledge and know-how in many different kind of environmental preservation programs, university students are the least group of people expected not to know much about recycling.Nonetheless, empirical evidences on students’ recycling awareness is still very much limited.Hence, this study is carried out to address the aforementioned issue by examining students’ recycling awareness and how they manage their recyclables.The study employs quantitative research approach in which the questionnaires are distributed among students.The findings show that the recycling level of awareness among Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is low.It is expected that
these findings will be beneficial to the university’s authorities to regulate a new
recycling campaign.However, it is also noted that the item constructs and number of respondents in this study could be further enlarged in order to magnify its significance.
