description | Software products have quality elements (features) that enhance their perceived quality. The performance of these quality elements with respect to how users, clients and customers are satisfied, determines the overall perceived quality of the product. In this study, an attempt was made to determine the impact of perceived importance of software features on the users’ or consumers’ perception of the performance of the quality elements of proposed software products. The study’s data was captured in a voice of customer survey conducted in University Utara Malaysia. Fifty participants were enrolled in the study. The result of the study shows a significantly positive association between the perceived importance of software features and the consumers’ perception of the performance of quality elements of proposed software products. The perceived importance of a product feature significantly impacts the consumers’ perception of the performance of the features of the software products (particularly, if such features are included in the product design and construction). |
