Description
Summary:The problems related to carbon monoxide emissions that produced by transportation sector represent a major global concern. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the approaches towards sustainable transportation on carbon monoxide emission in Malaysia- Thailand border. The report regarding sustainable transport used to identify and analyze emissions reduction potential, supported by the Ministry of Transport (MOT) to reduce the level of carbon monoxide emission from transport and enhances the economy, promotes livability and protects the environment. The sustainable approaches which are renewable energy and green vehicles help to mitigate the level carbon monoxide emission. These two approaches have the main advantage of reducing the amount of carbon monoxide in the atmosphere. To allow a meaningful interpretation of the results, the method used for this paper is by referring primary data which is data that collected through a questionnaire with 250 respondents and secondary data such as government reports, journals, and academic resources. The result of this paper hoped will be useful both as comparative and as an example of best practice for the transport sector in minimizing the level of carbon monoxide. The study suggested some recommendations which considered would help achieve the goal of sustainable transport in reduce emissions
