Description
Summary:Green practices are the environmentally friendly actions that assist sustainable development that demand attention from all parties. As one of the best places to educate future leaders on the subject matters of the degree and be responsible towards nature, the Malaysia School of Business (MSOB) is passionate about improving environmental quality and being a role model in educating the sustainability movement. Following this move, MSOB consistently followed the Environmental Management Systems Standard (ISO 14001:2015) and maintaining sustainability certificates granted. MSOB also has declared its own Environmental and Sustainability Policy Environmental Policy. However, there are some challenges to pledging the green policy. These challenges include (i) lack of awareness and knowledge in green practices, (ii) shortage of skilled and experienced staff in implementing green practices, (iii) no proper funding for green practices implementation, (iv) difficulty in measuring the effectiveness of green practices, and (v) the challenge to share the exact value of MSOB's Green Policy with their stakeholders. Therefore, while this study explored these challenges, both management of faculty and the university need to address the practical solutions in improving the implementation of green practice in MSOB.
