description The United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 as a worldwide call to eradicate poverty, safeguard the planet, and promote peace and prosperity for everyone by 2030. The 17 SDGs are interconnected and seek to strengthen the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development. Malaysia is one of the countries committed to these global goals. Creativity, know-how, technology, and resources from all segments of society are necessary to achieve the SDGs in every context, and youths are the segment of the population that could bring about these changes. The Malaysian Youth SDG summit started with the support of 30 youth-based organisations and was backed up by the Malaysian CSO-SDG Alliance and APPGM-SDG. From a one-day event, it has extended to a one-year continuous effort to build the capacity of youngsters to become competent SDG agents with the Youth SDG Agent initiative. The organising committee believes in partnership. The strength of the partnership has significantly contributed to brand credibility, media exposure, network, hardware support, and human resources. This case study will share the ideology, mechanism, and lessons learnt from forming the multi-stakeholder partnership.
