description In the recent statistics of the Ministry of Health, it was indicated that between 7000-8000 of Malaysian nurses work abroad in countries like Saudi Arabia, Australia and New Zealand. However, to become an expatriate specifically in Saudi, it warrants an intensified level of sacrifices from the Malaysian female nurses because they could not bring their families unlike in the Western countries, and a total change of lifestyles when they moved to the country. Such situation will challenge their cognition, emotional and behavioral (C.A.B.) ability to acculturate in the newly work environment, a cultural competency which is sought after for global job assignment. Thus, the overarching research question is to explore: How competent are Malaysian female nurses expatriates in terms of cognitive, emotions and behavioral (C.A.B.) when they adjust in a new working environment? Our study will employ a mix methodology--the primary method is qualitative, while the quantitative method will supplement the findings with statistics to support the in-depth descriptions. The main outcome of the study is the development of the CAB model for training expatriates in specific cultural-based context. Hence, the practical implication of this study will be contributed significantly to several stakeholders namely the government and healthcare industries to reformulate its strategic plans and revise human resource policy by offering competitive salary packages to qualified Malaysian nurses, or otherwise train individuals who qualify for international job market to be competent- -i.e.well prepared mentally, emotionally and behaviorally
