Delineation of critical amino acids in activation function 1 of progesterone receptor for recruitment of transcription coregulators
Published 2020“…The activation functions AF1 and AF2 of nuclear receptors mediate the recruitment of coregulators in gene regulation. AF1 is mapped to the highly variable and intrinsically unstructured N terminal domain and AF2 lies in the conserved ligand binding domain. …”

Arginine vasopressin in the medial amygdala causes greater post-stress recruitment of hypothalamic vasopressin neurons
Published 2021“…These observations suggest that the effects of testosterone on extra-hypothalamic AVP facilitate stress responsiveness through permissive influence on the recruitment of hypothalamic AVP neurons.…”

Rapid recruitment of p53 to DNA damage sites directs DNA repair choice and integrity
Published 2022“…The kinetics of p53 recruitment mimics those of known DNA damage-response proteins, such as Ku70 and poly(- ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), and precedes recruitment of Nbs1, 53BP1, and DDB1. …”

Dopey1-Mon2 complex binds to dual-lipids and recruits kinesin-1 for membrane trafficking
Published 2019“…Dopey1-Mon2 complex functions as a dual-lipid-regulated cargo-adaptor to recruit kinesin-1 to secretory and endocytic organelles or membrane carriers for centrifugally biased bidirectional transport. …”

Pellino1 specifically binds to phospho-Thr18 of p53 and is recruited to sites of DNA damage
Published 2021“…We employed laser micro-irradiation and live cell microscopy to show that Pellino1 is recruited to newly occurring DNA damage sites, via its FHA domain. …”

Aging-induced isoDGR-modified fibronectin activates monocytic and endothelial cells to promote atherosclerosis
Published 2022“…Subsequent activation of ‘outside-in’ signalling elicits a range of potent cytokines and chemokines that drive additional leukocyte recruitment to the developing atherosclerotic matrix.…”

Involvement of chemokine receptors and adhesion molecules in the regulation of Experimental Cerebral Malaria.
Published 2011“…These results suggest that iRBC do not adhere to monocytes and/or macrophages; CCR5 is not involved in T cells recruitment; and ICAM-1 might not be the major determinant adhesion molecule during effector phase.…”

Interleukin 17F expression and effect in human corneal epithelial cells
Published 2008“…Interleukin (IL)-17F, a relatively less studied cytokine traditionally known to be produced by leukocytes, is involved in neutrophil recruitment during inflammation. Previous unpublished data suggest that IL-17F is expressed in human corneal epithelial cells (HCE) and differentially regulated in transglutaminase(TGM)-2 over-expressing cells. …”

Medial amygdala arginine vasopressin neurons regulate innate aversion to cat odors in male mice
Published 2022“…The loss of fear of the predator odor occurs in parallel with increased recruitment of AVP neurons within the MePD. These observations suggest that AVP neurons in the medial aspect of the extended amygdala are a proximate locus for the reduction in innate fear during life stages dominated by reproductive efforts.…”

Post-translational modification-regulated leukocyte adhesion and migration
Published 2016“…Leukocytes undergo frequent phenotypic changes and rapidly infiltrate peripheral and lymphoid tissues in order to carry out immune responses. The recruitment of circulating leukocytes into inflamed tissues depends on integrin-mediated tethering and rolling of these cells on the vascular endothelium, followed by transmigration into the tissues. …”

Carbonylation is a hallmark of oxidative stress induced by lipid peroxidation products, 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal and 4-hydroxy-2- hexenal, on insulin signalling in L6 myoblasts.
Published 2009“…Though both HHE and HNE were able to impair glucose uptake in response to insulin in L6 cells and antioxidative pre-treatment of L6 cells with N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) or 3H-1,2-dithiole-3-thione (D3T) successfully prevented oxidative damage in the form of HHE or HNE adduct formation in L6 cells, we have curiously found that HHE unlike HNE was neither able to decrease insulin receptor substrate (IRS)-1 tyrosine phoshorylation nor prevent the recruitment of phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3k). Put together, our results suggests that carbonylation is common in various forms of oxidative stresses and that HHE and HNE affect different members of the insulin signaling cascade.…”
