We find that: (i) a majority of the UK population say they are willing to adopt most preventive measures against coronavirus (e.g. taking tests, self-isolating, wearing face masks, and taking a vaccine if/when available) but only around half are willing to download and use a contact tracing app, (ii) those with higher levels of COVID-19 news use and higher trust in COVID-19 information from the UK government are more willing to adopt preventive measures, but (iii) even those in the lowest news use and lowest government trust groups are mostly still willing to adopt measures to tackle the coronavirus epidemic.…”
