    “…The “Ra’eyah” poem of ‘Umar ibn Abi Rabi‘ah has been chosen for study in this research because it is considered to be an accurate model of the polyphonic poem that includes all the elements of polyphonic discourse represented by the multiplicity of voices and characters, dialogism, and spacetime, in addition to other elements that are characterized by novelty and innovation such as carnival atmosphere, parody, composition, and hybridization. Through the polyphonic approach, the research aims to apply these elements to the poem of ‘Umar ibn Abi Rabi‘ah to prove that it transcended the monophonic voice and lyricism to the realm of drama and polyphonyristians.…”
