The impact of antimicrobial stewardship ward rounds on antimicrobial use and predictors of advice, uptake, and outcomes
Published 2025“…Except for ceftriaxone, similar declines were not seen at Hospital-2. Half of reviews (3471/6878; 50%) recommended an intervention; 2003/2726 (73%) subsequently evaluated recommendations were implemented. …”

Equalities in education outcomes in Korea, Sweden and Norway
Published 2007“…Reading for change (OECD, 2002) has also shown similar results: in Korea, the range of scores from the 90" to the 10" percentile on the combined reading scale is around 175 points, just under two and a half proficiency levels; in Sweden the range of scores is around 240 points; in Norway the range of scores is around 270 points.…”

Measurement of mass attenuation coefficient of paraffin wax by using low energy x-ray
Published 2024“…This study explores the mass attenuation coefficient properties of paraffin wax at kilovoltage x-ray energies and compares these properties with those of solid water phantom, water, and Perspex, which are commonly used to mimic human tissue. Using the Half-Value Layer (HVL) method, we determined the effective energies for 60, 81, and 125 kVp, finding values of 35.22, 37.57, and 41.20 keV, respectively. …”

Fear of childbirth among pregnant mothers at Hospital USM, Kelantan
Published 2023“…Pearson's chi-square test showed statistical significance in the age group with FOC (p = 0.044), while Fisher's test revealed that FOC interference was significantly associated with age (p = 0.008) and parity (p = 0.019). Almost half of the birthing mothers were found to be moderate to severe FOC, respectively, and associated with age. …”

Non-invertible Condensation, Duality, and Triality Defects in 3+1 Dimensions
Published 2023“…These include condensation defects from higher gauging of the one-form symmetries on a codimension-one manifold, each labeled by a discrete torsion class, and duality and triality defects from gauging in half of spacetime. The universal fusion rules between these non-invertible topological defects and the one-form symmetry surface defects are determined. …”

Stability of internal gravity wave modes: from triad resonance to broadband instability
Published 2024“…For short-scale perturbations such that 𝜇 ≪ 1 but 𝛼 = 𝜇/𝜖 ≫ 1, this triad resonance instability reduces to the familiar parametric subharmonic instability (PSI), where triads comprise fine-scale perturbations with half the basic-wave frequency. However, as 𝜇 is further decreased holding 𝜖 fixed, higher-frequency perturbations than these two subharmonics come into play, and when 𝛼 = 𝑂(1) Floquet modes feature broadband spectrum. …”

Impedance-sum stability criterion for power electronic systems with two converters/sources
Published 2019“…In this paper, it is shown at first that in order for a converter/source to be stable both the impedance and its inverse should be stable, that is, the impedance should not have any right-half-plane (RHP) zeros or RHP poles. Then, it is shown that a system with two individually stable converters/sources is stable if and only if the sum of the individual impedances does not have any RHP zeros or, equivalently, the impedance sum does not encircle the origin clockwise. …”
