Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, la población estuvo constituido por 2223 personas en edades de 45 a 65 años, la muestra de estudio fue 352 adultos de la parroquia Baños de la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador, a los que se aplicó la escala de Negligencia al Cuidado Dental de Thomson versión Ecuador, dentro de la cual consta 6 interrogantes referente a la negligencia al cuidado dental, para realizar la valoración de los resultados se empleó la escala de Likert (DSN) que va desde uno "definitivamente no" a cinco "definitivamente sí”, sumando un total de 30 puntos considerando que >= a 11 negligente y <= 10 no negligente, esta investigación fue evaluada mediante el análisis estadístico Chi cuadrado. …”
