Physiological Benefits of Oxygen-Terminating Extracellular Electron Transfer
Published 2022-12-01“…EET has been studied for the reactions on solid materials such as minerals and electrodes with implication in geobiology and biotechnology. EET-capable bacteria exhibit broad phylogenetic diversity, and some are found in environments with various types of electron acceptors/donors not limited to electrodes or minerals. …”

Geological and glacial-hydrologic controls on chemical weathering in the subglacial environment
Published 2022-09-01“…The potential for diverse ranges of subglacial environments under ice sheets suggests the need for new and ambitious sampling programs to characterize difficult to access subglacial waters and quantify their impact on glacier dynamics, geobiology and global geochemical cycling.…”

A new chronology for the end-Triassic mass extinction
Published 2010“…Here we develop an accurate chronostratigraphic framework for the T-J boundary interval and establish detailed trans-Atlantic and marine-continental correlations by integrating astrochronology, paleomagnetism, basalt geochemistry and geobiology. We show that the oldest CAMP basalts are diachronous by 20 kyr across the Atlantic Ocean, and that these two volcanic pulses coincide with the end-Triassic extinction interval in the marine realm. …”
