Molecular population genetics of the Polycomb genes in Drosophila subobscura.
Published 2017-01-01“…MK tests indicate an accumulation of adaptive changes in the SU(Z)12 protein during the divergence of D. subobscura and D. guanche. In contrast, the HKA test shows a deficit of polymorphism at Pho. The most likely explanation for this reduced variation is the location of this gene in the dot-like chromosome and would indicate that this chromosome also has null or very low recombination in D. subobscura, as reported in D. melanogaster.…”

Genetic Diversity and Phylogenetic Relationships of Annual and Perennial Glycine Species
Published 2019-07-01“…Most genic sequences were homogeneous in the levels of polymorphism and divergence between G. max and other Glycine species based on the HKA test, thus, Glycine perennials may have experienced a very similar evolution as inferred by trans-specific mutation analysis. …”

Balancing selection on the complement system of a wild rodent
Published 2023-05-01“…One complement gene, FCNA, a pattern recognition molecule that interacts directly with pathogens, was found to have a signature of balancing selection, as indicated by the Hudson-Kreitman-Aguadé test (HKA) test. Scans for localised signatures of balancing selection in this gene indicated that the target of balancing selection was found in exonic regions involved in ligand binding. …”

On detecting selective sweeps using single genomes
Published 2011-12-01“…They employ essentially a modification of the Hudson, Kreitman and Aguade (HKA) test - using heterozygous single nucleotide poly¬morphisms (SNPs) from single individuals, and divergence data from two closely related spe¬cies (human-chimpanzee, human-orangutan and human-macaque). …”

Genome-wide characterization and evolutionary analysis of linker histones in castor bean (Ricinus communis)
Published 2022-10-01“…Using Tajima’s D and ML-HKA tests, we found RcH1.1 and RcH1.3 may be under balancing selection.…”
