    “…The Palembang Sultanate was formed so that the use of the Javanese language became the official language of the sultanate so that there was a culture of Javanese and Malay languages that formed a new language, namely the Palembang alus language or Bebaso (2) Bebaso was still often used in 1970-1980 and  the people of Palembang rarely used it in 2000 (3) There have been attempts to maintance  Palembang Alus Bebaso such as the existence of  puppet show, the creation of accompaniment to the Sondok Piyogo dance from the Sultanate of Palembang Darussalam, the existence of folk songs such as Cek Ayu and Bendel Hakiki, the existence of research proposed the use of Bebaso as local content, the creation of a Bebaso dictionary and the creation of interactive illustrated books about Bebaso: Palembang Alus Language for children and the Bebaso  as local language community in Palembang. …”
