Coherent quantum phase slip in two-component bosonic atomtronic circuits by A Gallemí, A Muñoz Mateo, R Mayol, M Guilleumas

    Published 2015-01-01
“…After imprinting different vortex states, i.e. states with quantized circulation, on each component, we demonstrate that during the whole dynamics the system remains in a linear superposition of two current states in spite of the nonlinearity, and can be mapped onto a linear Josephson problem. We propose this system as a good candidate for the realization of a Mooij–Harmans qubit and remark its feasibility for implementation in current experiments with ^87 Rb, since we have used values for the physical parameters currently available in laboratories.…”

Flux–charge duality and topological quantum phase fluctuations in quasi-one-dimensional superconductors by Kerman, Andrew J.

    Published 2013
“…In this paper we present a new model for QPS which takes as its starting point an idea originally postulated by Mooij and Nazarov (2006 Nature Phys. 2 169): that flux–charge duality, a classical symmetry of Maxwell's equations, can be used to relate QPS to the well-known Josephson tunneling of Cooper pairs. Our model provides an alternative, and qualitatively different, conceptual basis for QPS and the phenomena which arise from it in experiments, and it appears to permit for the first time a unified understanding of observations across several different types of experiments and materials systems.…”

    Quantum conductance-temperature phase diagram of granular superconductor K x Fe2−y Se2 by C. C. Soares, M. ElMassalami, Y. Yanagisawa, M. Tanaka, H. Takeya, Y. Takano

    Published 2018-05-01
“…Then, based on the standard granular superconductor model, an induced variation in size, distribution, separation and Fe-content of the superconducting granules can be expressed in terms of model parameters (e.g. tunneling conductance, g, Coulomb charging energy, E c , superconducting gap of single granule, Δ, and Josephson energy J = πΔg/2). We show, with illustration from experiments, that this granular scenario explains satisfactorily the evolution of normal-state and superconducting properties (best visualized on a $${\boldsymbol{g}}{\boldsymbol{-}}\frac{{{\boldsymbol{E}}}_{{\boldsymbol{c}}}}{{\boldsymbol{\Delta }}}{\boldsymbol{-}}{\boldsymbol{T}}$$ g−EcΔ−T phase diagram) of A x Fe2−y Se2 when any of x, y, p, or heat treatment is varied.…”
