“…Daripada bentuk komunikasi bersemuka, kini komunikasi telah berubah kepada komunikasi secara maya dengan menggunakan portal dan laman sosial tertentu sebagai perantara.Kewujudan pelbagai saluran komunikasiini menyebabkan masyarakat bebas bersuara tanpa memikirkan etika dan kesantunan berbahasa.Komunikasi maya ini bukan sahaja melibatkan teks sematamata tetapi netizen juga boleh menggunakan emoticon untuk mewakili gambaran perasaan mereka.Justeru, kajian yang dilakukan ini bertujuan meninjau penggunaan bahasa semasa berkomunikasi dalam kalangan netizen yang memberikan reaksi dan maklum balas terhadap penyiaran berita berkaitan kerajaan yang terdapat dilaman sosial.Medium komunikasi yang dipilih sebagai subjek kajian ini ialah laman sosial popular iaitu Facebook yang boleh diakses oleh pengguna internet.Pendekatan kualitatif yang diaplikasi dalam kajian ini akan menganalisis komen-komen yang diberikan oleh netizen pada ruangan komen yang terdapat dalam laman sosial tersebut menggunakan Teori Kesantunan Asmah Haji Omar (2000).Hasil penelitian mendapati bahawa majoriti netizen akan menggunakan kata-kata kesat yang tidak santun apabila memberi komen terhadap sesuatu isu berkaitan kerajaan yang disiarkan dalam laman sosial.…”
