FATIGUE STRENGTH ANALYSIS AND OPTIMIZATION OF FSC RACING EXHAUST SYSTEM
Published 2020-01-01“…The exhaust pipe of engine is subjected to alternating load of low and high temperatures during operation, which is prone to fatigue damage. For the FSC(Formula Student China) racing engine with the highest speed of 11 000 r/min~13 OOOr/min,the exhaust pipe fatigue problem is more serious. In this paper, the FSC racing exhaust system is taken as the research object to analyze its fatigue strength and optimize the exhaust pipe thickness.Firstly, the Fluent software is used to analyze the conjugate heat transfer of the exhaust system to determine the temperature distribution of the exhaust system. Then the temperature distribution is mapped to the finite element mesh of the exhaust system, and the thermal stress and thermal strain are analyzed by finite element technology.Subsequently, two schemes including exhaust manifold " normal operation-parking cooling" cycle and extreme working condition cycle are designed to carry out the thermal cycle simulation. It is found that the exhaust gas accumulates plastic deformation under the alternating load of each cycle, and the exhaust system will eventually crack and be destroyed. Finally, the fatigue life of the two schemes is studied by using Ansys nCode DesignLife fatigue analysis software. The results show that both schemes effectively reflect the life expectancy of low-cycle fatigue damages under the combined action of exhaust manifold temperature field, thermal stress and strain.Based on the above analysis, the exhaust thickness is optimized by the extreme working condition circulation scheme.and it is verified by experiments that the 1.2 mm thickness steel pipe meets the FSC exhaust requirements.…”

Arm race between Rift Valley fever virus and host
Published 2022-12-01“…In this review, we summarize the innate immunity host cells employ depending on IFN signal transduction pathways, as well as the immune evasion mechanisms developed by RVFV primarily with the inhibitory activity of NSs protein. Clarifying the arms race between host innate immunity and RVFV immune evasion provides new avenues for drug target screening and offers possible solutions to current and future epidemics.…”

Published 2021-11-01“…It proposes an approach to the use of spotter in relation with two activities: observation and photographic record of aircraft, and motor racing. Analysis of spotter in journalistic texts and productions of Spanish speakers on the social network Twitter, shows that this lexical unit has not yet become widespread in the general use of language, although it does signal group identity among those speakers who participate of these activities.…”

Creatine supplementation and endurance performance: surges and sprints to win the race
Published 2023-12-01“…In terms of time trial performances, results are mixed; however, creatine supplementation appears to be more effective at improving performances that require multiple surges in intensity and/or during end spurts, which are often key race-defining moments. Given creatines ability to enhance anaerobic work capacity and performance through repeated surges in intensity, creatine supplementation may be beneficial for sports, such as cross-country skiing, mountain biking, cycling, triathlon, and for short-duration events where end-spurts are critical for performance, such as rowing, kayaking, and track cycling.…”
