A before-after-control-impact study of wildlife fencing along a highway in the Canadian Rocky Mountains
Published 2022-10-01“…We used a replicated (n = 2 sites monitored for over 1000 km years combined) before-after-control-impact study design to assess fencing effectiveness along the Trans-Canada Highway in the Rocky Mountains of Canada. We found that collisions declined for common ungulates species (elk, mule deer, and white-tailed deer) by up to 96% but not for large carnivores. …”

Heavy metals analysis of the limpet Cellana karachiensis (Winckworth 1930) from two rocky shores of the Karachi coasts of Pakistan
Published 2020-07-01“…ANOVA single factor and student t test was done for the statistical analysis of metal contents in soft tissues of C. karachiensis of both shores at (p<0.01) and observed statistically significant differences in the amounts of the Cu, Cd and Zn elements among the limpets of both rocky shores. Same as the significant result at p<0.01 and p<0.05 was observed in between the length size of limpets at Clifton and Mubarak Village rocky shores. …”

Decline of a North American rocky intertidal foundation species linked to extreme dry, downslope Santa Ana winds
Published 2024-02-01“…This is true also for rockweeds, the canopy-forming analog of subtidal kelp forests in temperate rocky intertidal ecosystems. On the west coast of North America, dense beds of the rockweed Silvetia compressa occur across large biogeographic regions, benefitting numerous species by ameliorating physical stress caused by sun exposure, desiccation, heat, and wave disturbance. …”
