Simulations of divertor designs that spatially separate power and particle exhaust using mid-leg divertor particle pumping by J.H. Yu, R.S. Wilcox, R. Maurizio, A. Holm, S.L. Allen, W. Choi, M.E. Fenstermacher, M. Groth, A.W. Leonard, A.G. McLean, F. Scotti, M.W. Shafer

    Published 2024-12-01
“…The simulations show that the detachment front is located between the divertor target and the X-point and is relatively stable near the pump entrance, without a strong dependence on gas puff rate or injected power. The mid-leg pump design spatially separates the two primary functions of a divertor (power handling and particle exhaust), with the majority of power dissipation occurring near the target plate and particle exhaust taking place further upstream. …”

Study on separated double pulse position modulation and its performance by XU Zhi-yong1, SHEN Lian-feng1, WANG Jing-yuan2, LIU Ye2

    Published 2009-01-01
“…Separated double pulse position modulation(SDPPM) in wireless ultraviolet communication was presented. The structure of the SDPPM was described in detail.Requirements of the power and the bandwidth for SDPPM were analyzed and the BER was derived. Then these performances were compared with modulation of equal slots, such as OOK,PPM and MPPM.The results show that the SDPPM achieves better compromise between power requirement and bandwidth requirement, and the SDPPM has better performance in anti-multipath dispersion in ultraviolet communication because of its symbol structure.…”

A Quantification Index for Power Systems Transient Stability by Shengen Chen, Amamihe Onwuachumba, Mohamad Musavi, Paul Lerley

    Published 2017-07-01
“…This paper presents a quantification method for power system performance evaluation. It applies a range of criteria such as rotor angle separation, loss of source, damping, and voltage sag directly to the simulation data files to achieve a more efficient and objective stability assessment. …”

Domain wall motion-based dual-threshold activation unit for low-power classification of non-linearly separable functions by Deb, Suman, Vatwani, Tarun, Chattopadhyay, Anupam, Basu, Arindam, Fong, Xuanyao

    Published 2020
“…Recently, a great deal of scientific endeavour has been devoted to developing spin-based neuromorphic platforms owing to the ultra-low-power benefits offered by spin devices and the inherent correspondence between spintronic phenomena and the desired neuronal, synaptic behavior. …”
