The two examples, one from Bosnia recorded by Isak Papo and the other from Greece collected by Matilda Koén-Sarano, constitute rare examples of these tale-types in the Ladino language and clearly show how the Sephardic tradition continued to evolve in the late twentieth century by appropriating new elements hitherto unseen in the lore. …”
